Annual Youth Javelina, Small Game Hunt Camp

2024 Camp is scheduled for January 25th through the 28th. Looking for volunteers to help out to hold this camp. Please click the Mentor/Volunteer link below and let us know how you can help us hold this camp!

Youth with javelina tags in 37B and their friends who wish to small game or predator hunt are treated to a mentored hunt, learning sessions, and other activities! Breakfast, lunch, dinner and campfire S’mores provided! Kids will also participant in a quail hunt with pointing dogs complements of Sirius GunDogs! Fun, safe camping experience near Oracle Az.

Everyone attending must register to make sure we have enough food and other provisions!

The kids will learn saftey, hunting ethics, respect, accountability and survival tactics. Parents and participants are encouraged to invite friends!

Camps like this are put on by volunteer time and money. We do get a majority of the funds in the form of the grants from Arizona Game and Fish and Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation license plate grant funds.

Arizona Game and Fish Department Requirements

You need education if you are 10 to 13 years old and you will be hunting big game in Arizona.

You must be at least 9 years old to take the online course.

You do not have to be a resident of Arizona to take the online course
